Meet our team

Lindsey Skaare, M.S., LPC, NCC, QMHP

Life has a tendency to create difficult moments for all of us. The decision to begin therapy is one that can help you get through these moments and to function better in all areas of life. I aim to provide a comfortable, private atmosphere that is conducive to creating a sense of well-being which aids in the process of brighter days ahead. I work with adults as well as children and adolescents who are experiencing some of life's challenges such as depression, relationship issues, anxiety, grief and adjustment disorders that are causing some pain and discomfort in their lives.

What is important within my professional setting is the ability on my part to be a good listener. You will be heard and together we can cultivate understanding between us that is necessary to discover the many possibilities of healing and change for a productive life ahead.

I have been an experienced clinical therapist for 8+ years. As an older millennial, I feel as though I can connect with people from all age ranges and cultural backgrounds. As well as striving to be a good listener, I offer a safe judgement-free space where you are given time to share and explore your deepest needs and wants.

I believe individuals have greatness within themselves; it is important to work with a counselor who sees yours, even if you or others do not. I will strive to help you feel comfortable so you can be honest with me and yourself, about your problems, mood complaints or substance use. Often individuals already know what needs to happen, but do not know how to get there. I will meet you where you are, while guiding you to where you want to be.

I work with people of all ages on issues including but not limited to grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and stress management. I am passionate about helping people experience wellness in their lives. I have a special interest in working with youth and young adults and members of the military and their families.

Sherwood “Woody” Schrenk, M.A., LPC-MH, NCC, QMHP

Starting therapy and facing life’s most difficult challenges may be intimidating. To help reduce your anxiety about treatment, I work to provide an open and accepting environment. I consider it a privilege to work with individuals and to be a part of their journey toward living a better life. I have respect for the difficulties and complexities of life and strive to provide a setting for individuals to explore solutions to the problems they face. I believe that everyone is doing the best they can and can do better given new perspectives and skills.

The most common issues I work with are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship problems, anger, stress, life transitions, and general adjustment to life stresses and events. I have a number of years of experience and have worked in a variety of settings.

I appreciate coming along side individuals who may be struggling.  Having individuals share their story is, to me, a privilege and something to honor and respect. Most people say I am very down-to-earth and easy to relate to. My style is an interactive one; rather than just listening passively. I am attentive, share insight, and make respectful comments and suggestions.

You need to know that your symptoms do not have to define you, you do not have to live in the past and both your brain and body can heal. I invite you to utilize the resources that I have gained thru specialized training. Together, we can work toward helping you to regain a sense of peace, live in and enjoy the present and create a more hopeful future.  We can work together to develop skills that deal with self-harm, attachment, abuse/neglect, self-regulation, and coping.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength based and eclectic. I believe in the capacity for change and enhancing the resilience that each one of us has.  As a team, we will utilize therapeutic resources that meet your individual needs and your personal goals. Together, we will develop a plan that will help you to see results in both a safe and effective manner.

We will incorporate natural resources that can make the work of therapy and life in general, easier to navigate. We will work at your pace and will process your experiences as your own ability to heal grows.  I know that you are the only one who knows what your experience is and how you have been impacted. My job is to help establish safety and develop enough security for us to move toward resolution.
