Art Therapy Techniques | CBT | DBT
EMDR | Flash | Mindfulness
Play Therapy Techniques | Talk Therapy
Skill Development | Somatic Therapies

There are many paths toward healing or adopting new ways of being and we each have our own unique needs. Our clinicians know that and will often use a combination of therapeutics to benefit you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal oriented form of talk therapy. It can be utilized to help change patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. Talk therapy can be helpful when we really need to emotionally, mentally, and verbally process our experiences, feelings or thoughts.

Skill development may involve learning new strategies to manage challenges with thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and the way that our body responds. Skill development can include additional therapeutics, such as Mindfulness a state of active, open attention to the present and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. Many of these therapeutics are also utilized in the resolution of traumatic responses that result from difficult moments in our lives.

Additionally, Somatic Therapies explore how the body expresses deeply painful experiences, applying mind-body healing to aid with trauma recovery.

Psychotherapy techniques designed to relieve the distress associated with disturbing memories include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and/or Flash. Both are highly effective in producing safe, rapid results for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, addiction and other mental health related issues.

Adaptation

Life experiences can change us. With each new experience we learn. Our body and brain adapt. We adapt in remarkable ways. Some folks seem to adapt in healthier, more positive ways. They seem to thrive. Some folks adapt in ways that allow them to continue to move forward and yet, something changed. They might feel more nervous or anxious. That feeling or way of being can be very specific and/or it can be more general. Let’s call that change, adaptation. The symptoms that manifested we will call, anxiety. Anxiety can take many forms and it can manifest itself in varying degrees.

Adaptation can play a role in happiness, joy, success, our interactions, how we view the world, how we view ourselves, our core beliefs and our moral compass. It affects our feelings like shame, mistrust, faith, and hope.

Adaptation plays a role in the development of our individual personality, our identity, and how we respond to issues over the course of the lifespan. The way that we adapt to stress, changes in our environment, problems with sleep, and health issues plays a role in how we manage anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, post traumatic stress, substance misuse, addiction, stress reactions, outbursts, mood, self-regulation, and/or dysregulation. It can impact our ability to live a life that includes joy, love, understanding, and compassion.

As individuals, couples, and families adaptation probably plays a role in most of our success and how we deal with challenges that arise.

Our services are developed to meet the needs of the people we are working with in a strength based, growth oriented, manner. We are here to share the tools that can help you gain insight, grow, heal, change, and adapt.

We strive for more hopeful, positive outcomes because,
We All Deserve To Thrive!
